Three pages fetched and scored in one run is what keeps the tool free and fast. They are spread across the sitemap rather than taken from the top, so a site with a strong homepage and thin deep pages shows the difference. The score is an average of those three, labelled as a sample, not a site-wide audit.
Each sampled page gets the same 0–100 GEO score the GEO Score tool gives: twenty checks across content, structure, schema and access, weighted by how much answer engines care. The readiness score is the average of the pages that could be fetched; a page that failed to load is listed with its error and left out of the average.
Two things that apply to every page at once: whether /llms.txt exists, and whether robots.txt lets the crawlers that feed answers (OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, Claude-User, PerplexityBot, Googlebot and the rest) fetch the site. A blocked crawler makes every other fix moot for that engine.
The page fetcher only reads public http(s) pages on standard ports, follows at most three redirects, and refuses private networks. A CDN rule that blocks unknown bots, a login wall, or a slow server fails the sample. Each page card shows the reason so you can tell a blocked fetch from a broken page.
