ChatGPT

The engine most people mean by "I asked AI". Its answers to "best X for Y" questions name a handful of brands, and the list changes between runs.

Widely used for research and drafting by operators and consultants. It recommends tools differently from ChatGPT and cites different sources.

Google's assistant. Its recommendations draw on Google's index, so it is the closest proxy for how Google's AI surfaces see your brand.

Which AI engines does helloAISearch track?

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are on every plan; Perplexity is on Studio and up. The free trial scans ChatGPT and Gemini.

Does helloAISearch track Google AI Overviews or AI Mode?

Not yet. Both are on the roadmap. Gemini, which is tracked on every plan, draws on the same Google index, but it is a separate product and we do not claim it stands in for the other two.

Does helloAISearch track Microsoft Copilot or Grok?

Not yet. Both are on the roadmap and not in our scans today.

How are the engines queried?

Your prompts are sent to each engine's API on your plan's schedule (weekly on Lite, weekly plus daily slots on Studio, daily on Pro and Agency), and the full answer text is recorded. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Perplexity are listed as subprocessors for that reason.
